Two Ladies

Change,
Comes in,
Many forms.

To him it comes,
In the form,
Of two ladies.

One evening, two beautiful ladies walked along a narrow road, there weren’t many houses around. After some time they found a little house with a beautiful garden with a large mango tree.

The two ladies were friends from childhood. They had left their homes years before to be wanderers living with nature. They finally settled in a forest, where they weave their own robes and get their food from nature. Once in a while come to a neighbouring village. People admire their beauty and wisdom. Though they are friends one of the lady accepted the other as her teacher and became her student.

Both of them went to the front door of the house. The teacher knocked it. No reply. She smiled and walked towards the mango tree. She climbed and sat on a branch that ran parallel to the ground about a yard high. She started to meditate. The student sat on the ground next to her teacher’s feet and started to meditate.

After some time the owner of the place returned from his field. He was amazed to see the two ladies. We walked up to them and stood until they opened their eyes.

After few minutes, both of them opened their eyes at once. They saw him. The student stood up.

“Greetings, my dear. Is our presence disturbing you?” the teacher asked.

“No. Both of you are beautiful” he said.

She smiled and got down from the branch.

“We thought of spending the next few days here. Are we allowed?” she asked.

“Sure, but I got only one mattress, can you ladies manage?” he asked.

“I am moved by your hospitality, but you can sleep on it. This tree is enough for us” she said.

“This tree? How?” he asked.

“We had been living with nature” she said.

He took them into his house. He prepared dinner. The teacher taught him new recipes. They ate together and returned to the tree. The found two horizontal branches with wide spots near the trunk and laid on them watching the course of the moon. He watched them through the window from his house.

“Such lovely ladies at my house” he thought and went to sleep.

The Lady of Magic

Once,
At a restaurant,
I met a girl,
A woman,
A lady.

I reached her,
And said,
“You look very beautiful!”
Why I said,
I don’t know.

“Come with me” said she,
“Where?” asked I,
“Question me not,
Answers follow in due time”
Answered she.

I followed,
To her home,
Old and dark,
Classic,
Filled with.

Manuscripts and maps,
Lamps and candles,
Notes and sketches,
Books and paintings,
Awesome and magical.

“I am a magician” her voice,
“Never heard of you”
“I am nor performer”
“Why?”
Asked I.

No reply,
“Question me not,
Answers follow in due time”
Said I,
She smiled.

“You help me” said her,
“Sure” told I,
Days passed,
Life continued,
With her.
